About
Bathing Breath strives to provide holistic wellness support by providing free yoga classes, birth doulas, death midwives, workshops and fellowship. Our mission is to give the population of Mineral County and surrounding area space and guidance on how to improve their mental, physical and spiritual health.
When Grace Prior moved to Alberton Montana in 2017, she saw a need for a yoga class that was affordable and local for the rural community. Through a grant at the public school, she was able to provide these classes. This inspired her to bring more access to other wellness classes for all ages including Prenatal, Youth and Teen Yoga, as well as more adult classes including workshops and retreats. Grace wanted to make holistic practices like yoga and meditation not just a reality for the privileged. Bathing Breath Non-Profit was formed to achieve this goal. Since its creation, Bathing Breath has added birth doula and death doula support to its services.
Bathing Breath plans to cooperate with Mineral County Schools, Health Department, Public Library, other local non-profits to achieve this purpose through grants and fundraising. With these funds, we with be able to pay yoga instructors, mental health professionals, doulas, and other specialists to provide their services, teach classes, workshops and other wellness based activities for Alberton and the surrounding area. The funds would also provide insurance, facility rentals, studio supplies, guest instructors and future trainings of the staff.
Grace and her board believe that healthy communities start with healthy people and healthy people are a product of healthy children. Supporting a mother during her pregnancy, birth and post partum lays the foundation for a healthy child. This child can then be supported in their growth with opportunities to learn how to maintain their physical, mental and spiritual health. Then we can hold a family and community through the death and passing of their beloved. Bathing Breath can provide this support for all ages and will always encourage people to be their true and authentic selves by teaching them the importance of finding their breath.
